Delivery Expectations

A pallet of tile is travelling to your doorstep or project site … now what?! Under most circumstances, an appointment will be required for delivery. The freight company you selected at checkout will call you to arrange and schedule a delivery time.

General Delivery

A few things to remember as your tile order speeds towards you.

Your order can show up at any time in the estimated delivery schedule so you must be ready to receive the shipment when it arrives. Some freight companies have fee schedules for storing shipments for extended periods of time. Avoid this neusance altogether and be prepared.

The default delivery is curbside. Its not just a catchy name, it is exactly that. Someone must be on site to accept and move the shipment (from the curb) to your temporary storage location. If you need additional delivery services, be sure to indicate this upon checkout so that you avoid this surprise if you need assistance.

Be sure to inspect the order before signing to accept the shipment. Look for damaged packaging, broken tiles, missing boxes from the Bill of Lading or if anything looks out of sorts. Open boxes that may look like they have been tampered with.  Be sure to note this on the documents from the shipper and take extensive photographs. Geon Tile cannot process a claim without this information noted on the Bill of Lading.

If you notice damaged tiles, do not refuse acceptance of the order. Please note the issues, in full detail as described above, and we will begin the process of getting replacement products to you.

To make a claim for damaged or missing goods, please fill out the Delivery Claims Form within 48 hours.

On some occasions, tile shipments are delayed due to weather or other logistics constraints. Do not contact Geon Tile for support. Use your shipping confirmation in conjunction with tracking number to locate your package with the freight company selected.

Damage

Tile is fragile and, depending on the method and number of times handled, are susceptible to scratching, chipping and cracking. We endeavor to ensure that all of your tile arrives perfectly intact, but the reality is that no matter how hard we try, there will always be about 1% of the tiles that get damaged during transport.
